Vacation!

A couple of weeks ago we got a chance to take a much needed vacation. We went to Dar es Salaam and enjoyed good food, shopping, the beach, seeing a movie (just Carson), a massage (just me), air-conditioning, and a doctor's visit (just Jude. I know, not normal vacation material, but when you live here you go to the doctor when you can). We stocked up on sandwich meat, berries, oil, and vaccines. We only spent a couple of days at the beach, but that is where we took pictures. Here are a few:

We left Dar for the two day drive back to Geita, but only made it to Dodoma. The truck was having issues and it was a Friday night by the time we got there. We ended up staying in Dodoma until Tuesday. We were thankful to have friends there to stay with. We met the Meders at language school and hadn't seen them in a couple of years. We had a great time with them and Jude loved playing with their little girls.
