I've been meaning to post about Carson's birthday for awhile, but kept forgetting to upload the pictures. Finally, here it is.
We celebrated Carson's birthday a night early, because we were leaving the next day for Dar es Salam. Brett ordered a cake and I had a present (special thanks to Ashleigh Cathcart for helping me get it before we left) to surprise him with. About ten minutes before dinner Amanda (she runs the camp) got wind of our meager birthday surprise and franticly set about blowing up balloons, hanging signs, and scattering confetti.
When we arrived for dinner they told us it wasn't ready so we went to the game room. They needed more time for the decorating. Of course Carson knew something was up, but still enjoyed his party.
The cake had real icing! I especially like the way the english Happy Birthday is in brackets.
