Our trip to Geita ended with a flat tire as we arrived at the ferry back to Mwanza! Carson, Brett and Aaron managed to put on the spare despite the rain and people crowding them offering help. We made it back to Mwanza and on Thursday took the truck in to get new all terrain tires. We were already considering it and the flat just sealed the deal! There is a mechanic in town that the missionaries here have used for a long time and have a good relationship with which made it easy.
Below are pictures that I took from inside the truck on the ferry. On the smaller ferry there is seating for all of the people, but on this one they just crowd in between the vehicles!

This video was taken on the road back to Mwanza.
It had rained a lot so we went through lots of water crossings like this.

Thanks for the pics and video! I don't remember there being a park in Geita when I visited... but I guess we could have just missed it. I'm pretty confident I've been to that internet cafe (if it's still the only one in town). Cool. Glad to know you're well! Pass on hellos to the Geita and Mwanza peeps!
So glad to know that you are doing well. Enjoy your journey and we will all keep praying for you. Blessings,Patty Boyd
So weird to see Carson driving with his steering wheel on the other side! Love the updates. We love and miss you both!
Hey man you look good there. I think the whole right side of the road is growing on you. I have your blog saved to my rss feed so keep it coming man.
Ha! The vid of Carson plowing through the water in the middle of the reoad was priceless! The corresponding "heh, heh, heh" was classic as well. Stay safe you guys. Grace and Peace.
